Brief Summary of Project:
I found a great picture of a cabin on a mountain so I challenged myself to create something similar and to see if I can make it feel cold. More developments ensued. (the first image in the gallery below is the original image from motionarray.)

Workflow Methodology:
Using the photo image I estimated the general size of the cabin and blocked it out from there. I started with a simple camera view projection to get the textures but then went with a more generic wood since it was so off in the distance and occluded by snow and fog. With the simple cabin in place I modeled out a plane to somewhat match the sloping landscape and gave it some density around the cameras view. I wanted to get a thick fog in order to have a reason to string lights around the post to guide the way to the cabin. It is a simple curve with a profile and the lights are generated with geometry nodes to quickly and easily control and change. I found the individual sound clips on motionarray.com and added them to the video in After Effects to help sell the scene. This all took about 8 hours from conceptualizing a game-plan to final rendering in Media Encoder. I then chose the first and last frames of the animation and used a locally installed Stable Diffusion and Controlnet to render out a day time version of my original render using various prompts.
