Brief Summary of Project:
The goal was to create a comprehensive installation guide to a pultruded wall girt. Heavy illustrations and minimal text in an almost “comic book” style portray step-by-step direction on features, recommendations, and requirements on the storage, handling, and installation of the product.
*special note to reviewer: If you require a revised installation manual for the Strongirt product please search at the link below. Do not install using this document version.
Strongirt from Strongwell
Workflow Methodology:
I digitized a few Strongwell employees using Daz3d and posed them in the ways necessary to convey each action and task. All 3d the assets were modeled in Blender and positioned in each scene to convey overall steps. 2d assets were made in sketchup and layout. I exported the stills for each page and applied various effects in photoshop prior to laying the pages out in InDesign. After reviewing and organizing all available product information and company-provided photographs and added the text. After peer review and redline sessions a final draft was ready to export. The video was made in preparation for this site using a template presentation edited in after effects.
*Most media content has had sensitive client information removed to generalize the portfolio entry. Images appearing blurry and unreadable is done so intentionally to prevent extraction of document data and are meant simply to convey general layouts and visual elements.
